i really enjoyed the first beach house album. and by that, i mean the one before this one. i have no idea if they have a bunch or anything, but it's self titled so it's usually safe to assume such a thing. this album comes out next year, and there has been a massive leakage. as always i support buying music, so if you're a fan as well, purchase it when it is released! anyways, this music is kind of neat. it's one dude and one gal, like high places, but not quite as good - but that's a high bar they set. it's mellow music, which is appreciated in the wintertime, no? anyways, i just though i'd post it cause i got some old stuff above, thought i'd level it with some shit not out yet.

so i was watching skins the other day, and chris goes to talk to this job counselor. i'm one of those guys who listens for music in shows or wherever, as i'm sure you, reader, are as well. so the song that comes on during this particular scene was SO fitting and so odd that i had to get it. it's by Minotaur Shock, probably most known for his remixes (bloc party, stars). anyways, i don't have much to say cause i got the album and i hate it, but i'll post that one song cause it's too dope. it's like a weird series or horns in harmony, but in an ever so flawlessly off-tune way, it's great. also, before you rob a bank in all black or are going to do something where you may look suspicious, listen to this song, cause it's made for that i believe.

ALSO. alright so i downloaded this skream mix, right? and it's fucking nuts! i originally got it cause it had the new noah d tracks, which by the way start at around 53 minutes. yes this is a long ass mix. it's 2 hours long. you don't have to get it if you want, but you can just delete it afterwards, and the two songs around 53 minutes in are totally, totally worth it. theres some other good ones too, just hunt around that shit! you can't find these songs anywhere. i don't even think they're released, but i'll keep hunting!

Animal Collective new EP, foo! i haven't even given it a real listen yet, in fact i'm listening to it as i write this, so i don't have much to say other than here you go! i hope it's wicked. i'll write my opinion on it later! you can all thank my brother for showing me this during an incrediblly busy week for me. sorry for posting so late, you guys.

i can't believe i haven't posted this yet. i love this album. high places is a band from brooklyn, composed of one guy and one gal. the girls voice is heavenly. it's really soft and they put a lot effects on it to make it softer, it's really nice. the music is tough to categorize. i'll trust wikipedia and say experimental though. it's really nice to listen to, and i really recommend the download. listen to "From Stardust to Sentience", i'm pretty sure you'll love it. it's really nice music to listen to in any mood, that's a big reason of why i like it i guess. anyways, i hope you like it as much as i do!

i really like this ep. fun fact: i danced to it for half an hour before i went to bed one night, in my underwear. it's such fun music and it's just got a wicked 80's feel to it. i dare you to not like it, really, i do. the first song is just so incredible, it's difficult to be in a bad mood while listening to it. so get it! trust me.
for the record, out of 10 i'd probably give it a 8.6!

you know those songs that you hear somewhere, but it's impossible to tell who it's by, cause if it's on the radio no one says a song title afterwards, and if it's anywhere else it's not credited? i fucking hate that! i heard this song in 2006 on December 24th, and i found it a week ago or two, 2009. fuck! i found one of my text drafts in my phone saying "place in my heart for you. you are home" and i still remembered what it was from. so i googled it in quotes and i found it! it's really a very nice song. it's really comforting, and i think the last lines are wicked. i think if i was that band, i'd want the whole crowd to say those lines with me over and over, it'd just be wicked haha. so listen!

i like No Age. Saw them at Lollapalooza, semi impressed, out of 10, maybe a 7.5. This EP is pretty wicked, and it's similar to their old stuff. This is what i really like about No Age, they sound the same. Not all the songs sound the same, but their sound itself. Remember the first Alexisonfire album? how incredible it was? listen to the new one, you'll puke! No Age keep the whole distorted guitar and crazy drums thing going on but they do it with consistency throughout different songs. Killing it! definitly worth the download. but, hey, if you're not really feeling it for some reason, listen to You're a Target
